Muir misses out
East Fife will be without suspended defender David Muir for their vital clash with Stranraer.
The Fifers will give late checks to Stevie Campbell, who has an ankle injury, and Darren Smith after he picked up a similar problem in Tuesday night's 1-1 draw with Albion Rovers.
New Bayview manager Billy Brown said: "Our second-half performance in midweek deserved a win and hopefully we can build on that in this game.
"Stranraer beat us well in the last game down at their place but to be honest we were poor.
"I am sure we will give them a much better contest this time and a win could help transform our end to the season."
Stranraer will be without defender Mark Staunton as they look for the win that will pull them five points clear of their hosts in the battle to avoid the drop.
The Blues will also be without David MacGregor due to a knee injury.
Manager Stephen Aitken said: "This is a really big game for us and it is important that we take something from it.
"We have not picked up a lot of points away from home recently and it would be a fantastic time to turn that around.
"We have beaten East Fife in our last two meetings and our performance against them in the game last month was really good.
"I watched them draw against Albion Rovers in midweek but I did not learn that much as it was a terrible night to play football."
