East Fife eased their relegation fears courtesy of a shock 4-0 victory over promotion-chasing Ayr.
Six places and 12 points separated the sides going into the clash with the visitors desperately needing a win to allay their worries.
You would not have believed it, though, as the Fifers dominated the clash from start to finish.
They took the lead in the 31st minute through James Hamilton's smart finish before Ryan Wallace doubled their advantage three minutes later, converting Lloyd Young's pin-point cross.
Picking up where they left off, Fife were equally impressive in the second period as Matthew Park fired home just after the restart.
Wallace then grabbed his second from just inside the area in the 66th minute to add further gloss to the scoreline.
