Wallace wins it for Pars
Ryan Wallace's second-minute penalty gave Dunfermline a 1-0 win over East Fife.
The visitors took the lead in the second minute when Wallace fired in from the penalty spot after he had been brought down in the box by Pat Clarke moments earlier.
Dunfermline looked lively throughout the first half but were unable to build on their lead and it remained 1-0 at the break.
East Fife pushed for an equaliser in the second period but they could not find a way past Pars goalkeeper Ryan Scully.
Jim Jefferies' side continued to dominate in the second half and they could have made it 2-0 in the closing stages, but Joshua Falkingham's late effort was blocked by Paul Willis.
