Fifers sink Alloa
East Fife gained a vital three points and ended a 14-game winless run with a 2-1 victory over Alloa.
The Fifers took the lead 38 minutes into the match, Collin Samuel playing the ball in from the right-hand side of the penalty area for Robert Barr to tuck away.
Paul Willis added the second 10 minutes after the restart with a fierce drive into the bottom corner from 20 yards out.
Alloa, who secured a play-off spot last weekend, tried to claw their way back into the game late on with substitute Jonathan Tiffoney finishing from six yards after the ball ran free in the box.
But it was too little too late for the Hornets as East Fife held on to move seven points clear of Albion Rovers at the foot of the table.
